Sorry this comment isn't about the blog post. I know you told us not to criticise John Mayer. I have to admit I like a few of his songs. Say and Vultures in particular. But, you cannot say he's amazing. He's a fool. His comments about black women and women in general are atrocious. His undeniable talent just doesn't excuse it.

John mayer is brillant!! I love him for being so emotional and raw in his music. When I need to relax and just think I play him and kid cudi. Yaaay for video blogs and you are so right about giving people who dont really care about you to much stalk in your life. I've been trying to get out of a toxic friendship for years and I know that I can do it. I have to. Your doing a great job keeping up your blog I love seeing the content you come with. I hope you have an amazing birthday and you find that photobooth your looking for.

OMG - I LOVE John Mayer!!! I first heard the song "Say What You Need To Say" when I watched The Bucket List on the plane to America 3 years ago and was really struck by the words. Even that one line alone can have different connotations depending on what you emphasise:

1) SAY what you need to say - saying things is enough. We don't need to scream it or nag it or cram it in any other way into someone's head. Simply say it and know you've played YOUR role in this story; however they choose to react to it is not your problem to worry about because you've done you duty and all you can control is yourself!

2) Say what YOU need to say – what YOU need to say, not what everyone else feels the need to say but hasn’t had the guts to. Don’t be anyone’s mouthpiece (except maybe your young children) – if other people have something to say about something and they choose not to, then that doesn’t given you the right or responsibility to say it for them. Know your limits!

3) Say what you NEED to say - NEED. Life has taught me that sometimes it’s better to be a person of few words. In the past, I have been known to cuss people’s lives from beginning to end when a relationship has been going chronically wrong due to what I believed were THEIR issues. However, in recent years, I have learnt that’s unnecessary ... simply sticking to the issue at hand (e.g. what they did THIS time round) is often enough to drive home your point!

I just want to wish you good luck in your decision to be more care free and do what fells right for you.

It do agree that not caring about other is very hard. For me it goes back to my youth. I was always compared to other and it gave me the feeling that being me wasn't enough. Luckily I have meet people who helped me and are still helping realizing that being ME is OK.

But the irony in all of this is that the people who use to bring me down in my youth have nothing over me today. Most of them have in fact , helped me realize what I didn't want in my life. So in away I thank them.
